The Northumberland Golf Club course was designed in golf’s Golden Age by Colt and Braid, and regularly hosts national and regional championships, including The Open Regional Qualifier. The present clubhouse was built in 1913, of a traditional style, in a magnificent position nestling into the surrounding woods and with a view out over the course and High Gosforth Park. Our visitors relish the challenge of playing a championship golf course, but we have taken care to ensure it’s still enjoyable for players who are not quite up to Open standard! Our location just yards from the A1 makes Northumberland Golf Club particularly popular with golfers touring the area. You can follow your round with anything from a quick drink on the terrace to a three-course meal. English golfing heritage also rings true in the traditional clubhouse, with an attractive bar, relaxing lounges and elegant dining room. New Members and visitors are always warmly welcomed.
